In a GORUCK scenario the Grimloc is perfect for attaching small pieces of gear to your pack. The most common use is to secure hydration hoses however you can also attach a headlamp, gloves, or a hat. Once your hydration hose is slipped through the Grimloc you’ll always know where it is and it will not “flop around” anymore. This $3 attachment will save you from a bladder hose headache at your GORUCK event… that’s a fact. It’s easily one of the cheapest ways to avoid a headache at your event.
Not that it really matters during a GORUCK event but the Grimloc has GhillieTEX™ IR signature reduction Technology, corrosion resistant stainless steel spring and plastic, and a “SP” Self purging (Sand Pump) port. They also have a textured grip so they’re easy to operate with gloves and are made right here in the USA.
The ITW Grimloc was originally made to allow Marines to add hydration carriers to their vests. These Grimlocs can be added to anything with PALS / MOLLE style 1″ webbing. Once on, they make a great attachment point for weapon hydration hoses, slings, lanyards, pouches, and pretty much anything else you could think of.
The Grimloc is fabricated from high strength lightweight plastic, incorporates GhillieTex™ IR-signature reduction technology, and resists solar heating. Its latch is designed with a detent to maintain an open position if needed and is strong enough to carry equipment. The Grimloc is made here in the USA and apparently is resistant to sand locking up inside of it.
