Training for events is tough and can become an overwhelming experience. There are so many different factors to think about and it is so easy to get information overload. The hope is this area of the website will help dial you in to a point where you feel that you are in control of your training. Breath deep… you’ve got this.
Types of Training
Training for any event (not just a GORUCK Tough) can be a major challenge. People quickly realize that physical toughness, although important, is not everything. You need to train your mind (mental toughness) so that it will not quit out on your body. In addition it is smart to have a recovery aspect to your training plan in place.

Looks like GORUCK removed their training posts which is very unfortunate. I’ll see if anhyone else has them hosted anywhere.

Hey, Where did you pick up those straps that you use for your ruck?
Brian says
If you’re referring to the chest strap I currently use the Mystery Ranch Chestie Mil strap

So I found another post where you answered, you said you got the straps that hold your bricks together from “https://www.strapworks.com/” But I was wonder what was your set up i.e strap/ clip or was it a ready made option?
Brian says
I went and found my previous order and this is what I bought: It’s 1 inch webbing with cam clips. I went with Black color, 5ft length, Anodized Black Cam Buckle, and YES to the Buckle Pad. I bought 3 of these to hold the bricks in place. The length is more than enough to hold the bricks in place and 3 seem to be the perfect amount.
