In this episode we have a very fun and eventually heavy interview with Adam who runs Beasts OCR. The heaviness comes from the fact that I met him at the Seattle Bataan Light which commemorates a truly horrific atrocity. That event was with Cadre Shredder and what drew me to Adam originally was his backpack. He was entering the GORUCK Light with a backpack that was zip tied together. We ended up talking quite a bit through the event, exchanging contact info, and talking shortly after the Seattle Bataan Light.
He has quite the story on what brought him to both OCR and to GORUCK and rucking. With the GORUCK collaboration with Savage Race I had wanted to have someone on who had experience with both GORUCK events and OCR events and he fit the bill. Not only that but he’s an incredibly positive and motivating person and ranks among the top team leaders I’ve ever seen at an event. Not only is Beasts OCR an OCR and Ruck Club but they also host their own Beasts OCR events which sound amazing. Hopefully you enjoy this episode with Adam!
