This is probably the post you were hoping for when we released the Titan Fitness Ruck Weight preview last week. In this post we’re going to run through all four Titan Fitness ruck weights and see how they fit within GORUCK’s Rucker 1.0 (our review) and Rucker 2.0 (our preview).
We’re going to start off with 10 lb ruck weight and move down the line finishing with the 45 lb ruck weight.
Titan Fitness 10 lb Ruck Weight
We’re starting off with the 10 lb Titan Fitness Ruck Weight and how it fits in the Rucker 2.0’s pouch.
No real surprise here but it fits! You can see the bottom-crease on the weight… it’s not slid in all the way but if it was it would fall right to the bottom.
It also fits in the Ruck Plate pocket which isn’t really a surprise there either. The 10 lb weight is the smallest and shouldn’t have any problems fitting in any of the GORUCK packs. Again, the 10 lb weight isn’t slid in the entire way and you can see the crease where it ends.
The Rucker 1.0 handles the 10 lb ruck weight without any problems either. Here it is sitting at the top of the pocket…
…and here’s what it looks like slid to the bottom.
Titan Fitness 20 lb Ruck Weight
Next up we’ve got the Titan Fitness 20 lb Ruck Weight.
The 20 lb weight is very similar, although not identical, to the GORUCK 20 lb standard plate. It fits just fine into the Rucker 2.0’s pouch area…
…but struggles when trying to fit into the ruck plate pouch. That’s to be expected though… GORUCK’s standard 20 lb Ruck Plate doesn’t fit in there either.
The Rucker 1.0 handles the 20 lb ruck weight without any issue. Although it fits in the Rucker 2.0 as well it’s nice that the strap in the Rucker 1.0 holds the weight in place and prevents it from shifting around.
Titan Fitness 30 lb Ruck Weight
The third weight we’ve got is the Titan Fitness 30 lb Ruck Weight.
The Titan Fitness 30 lb ruck weight fits aligns closest with GORUCK’s 30 lb Standard Ruck Plate. It fits in the pouch on the Rucker 2.0…
…and would fit in the ruck plate pouch if it were just a bit shorter.
The 30 lb weight fits in the Rucker 1.0 without any issue.
Titan Fitness 45 lb Ruck Weight
Finally we’ve got the Titan Fitness 45 lb Ruck Weight. This weight is nearly identical in shape and size to GORUCK’s 45 lb Ruck Plate.
The 45 lb ruck weight fits into the pouch on the Rucker 2.0 without any issue…
…and definitely doesn’t fit into the ruck plate pocket.
It also fits without any issue into the Rucker 1.0. In fact…
You can fit both a Titan Fitness 45 lb Ruck Weight AND GORUCK 45 lb Ruck Plate in a Rucker 1.0 at the same time.
Conclusion
Want all this info distilled down to a nice chart? Here you go:
Weight | Rucker 1.0 | Rucker 2.0 Pouch | Rucker 2.0 Pocket |
---|---|---|---|
Titan Fitness 10 lb | Fits | Fits | Fits |
Titan Fitness 20 lb | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
Titan Fitness 30 lb | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
Titan Fitness 45 lb | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
GORUCK 10 lb Standard | Fits | Fits | Fits |
GORUCK 20 lb Standard | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
GORUCK 30 lb Standard | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
GORUCK 45 lb Standard | Fits | Fits | Doesn’t Fit |
GORUCK 20 lb Expert | Fits | Fits | Fits |
GORUCK 30 lb Expert | Fits | Fits | Fits |
What does all this mean? If you’ve got a Rucker 2.0 and want to use the plate pouch then you’ll still need to grab an Expert Ruck Plate from GORUCK. If you’ve got the Rucker 1.0 or don’t care about using the plate pouch pocket then your options are wide open.
Bonus Content
Dewy93 on the GORUCK subreddit was curious how the 30 lb Titan Fitness Ruck Weight fit in the Shaddox Tactical Padded Weight Plate Pocket – Regular. We’ll have an entire post dedicated to Shaddox Tactical (and their three pockets) but for now here’s a sneak peak on that.
The 30 lb plate is closely related to the 30 lb Standard plate from GORUCK which also isn’t designed to fit in the pouch from Shaddox Tactical. From left to right we’ve got the 30 lb Standard from GORUCK, the 30 lb from Titan Fitness, and finally the 30 lb Expert from GORUCK.
The 30 lb from Titan Fitness fits but the top won’t close so that’s not too helpful.
Since we’re already getting a little off-topic here the above picture is the 30 lb Expert Ruck Plate from GORUCK right next to the Shaddox Tactical Padded Weight Plate Pocket – Regular.
And here’s what the Shaddox Tactical pocket looks like closed with that 30 lb Ruck Plate inside of it. All of this and more in an upcoming post about the Shaddox Tactical ruck weight system!

I simply tucked the flap of the weight pouch into the pouch itself. My Titan Fitness 20# fit in the pouch and lay over where the flap was. I tied to the D ring just to keep it centered. Zips up just fine.

Awesome post. Confirms all my suspicions about my Standard GoRuck Plates and the New Rucker. If I get a new one I’ll have to buy some Expert plates to take advantage of the Weight Pocket. Thanks for the Post very well done and informative.
