GORUCK just released a revised version of their Bullet 10L ruck which features, from what we can tell, three major changes. The Bullet 10L 2.0 is an awesome day pack and a great stow-and-go pack you can use for quick rucks or travel so we’re excited about these new upgrades.
GORUCK Bullet 3.0 Changes
There were three major physical changes (that we can tell) made between version 2 and version 3 of the GORUCK Bullet.
Padded Grab Handle
Version 1.0 and 2.0 of the GORUCK Bullet featured a single piece of webbing for a grab handle. One of the major asks from the community was to replace this handle with a padded handle like the GORUCK GR1 (and other standard rucks) has.
Some individuals went so far as to buy a padded handle from our store and have it sewn directly into the top of their Bullet to give it a padded handle.
Bottom Grommet Removed
The first two versions of the GORUCK Bullet came with a grommet sewn into the bottom to allow water to drain out or sometimes get in. That was always a point of contention between some GRT because you can always add a grommet to a pack but you cannot remove one. In version three of the Bullet GORUCK has decided to remove the grommet from the pack.
The GR3 and the Rucker 2.0 both included a D-Ring at the top of the pack to hang a hydration bladder from and it looks like this has been carried into the Bullet. Definitely a huge fan of this change and the D-Ring + Carabiner or D-Ring + HK Quick Clip has always felt a lot more secure than the previous Velcro + Snap hydration strap.
These three changes to the Bullet 10L didn’t come without a price increase. Most recently the GORUCK Bullet had been sold at $145 and this update brings a $10 price increase to $155. Personally having the handle upgraded from a strap to the padded version is, in our opinion, worth $10 alone. Removing that grommet and adding the D-Ring are all a bonus at that point.
We’re excited about the changes made to the GORUCK Bullet 10L and hope that this means a new 15L version is on the horizon. Although price increases are never fun for $10 it really seems like the buyer is getting a decent deal in terms of upgrades. What are your thoughts on the additions and revisions made to the new GORUCK Bullet 10? We would love it if you’d leave them in the comments!
