If you’re interested in taking part in this event you can join the Facebook Group as all of the details relating to the event and how to get the patch are posted there.
As some of you know I recently completed the 10,000 push up challenge… which makes me a member of the 10,000 push up club! The deal is once you’re finished you can send $10 as a donation to the GBF (through the organizer of the event) and he will in turn mail a patch to you. This is the patch that you receive for completing this event.
When it comes to patches one of the things I love more than collecting them is earning them. It’s one thing to buy a patch because it’s funny or awesome and it’s another to sweat and earn one. One of my favorite things about these patches is that they have stories behind them. Due to being sick and running a marathon (aka being unlucky and piss poor planning) I had to complete 2,450 push ups in my last day of the event. That day was both amazing and a nightmare. It had never hurt to lift my arms solely because of push ups before until then. Whenever I look at this patch I think of moments like those. I also think of looking at the clock, seeing 9:30 pm, and knowing I still had 500+ push ups to bust out.
It’s great to buy patches and support causes that you love (I do this a ton if you didn’t know) but the patches I love the most are the ones I have earned.

i sent 10$ via paypal for my patch, about three months ago now. He mentioned there is a back order on the patch and I understand that, but i have recently completed the challenge and sent a few emails regarding the patch and havent received a follow up, refund, any explanation.

That’s really unfortunate to hear! It can take as long as a month for a run of patches to be made but that seems a bit excessive. Please keep us in the loop as this progresses… I, for one, would like to know what’s happening.

I dont have a facebook. Is there any other way to participate and donate for the patch?
Brian says
Send an email to John Maris ([email protected]) and he can probably get you squared away. Good luck!

Brian says
It’s a rotating 31 day time frame so choose what 31 days work best for you and your friends and do some push ups!
Mike Shep says
Thanks man, we are starting December 1st. Who and how do I contact for the donation and patch?
Brian says
There’s now a Facebook Group set up that you can join. All of the info is there and I’ll update this post as well.
