We’re here with the second episode of the All Day Ruckoff Podcast! In this episode we interview Lyell Petersen who operates the PATHFINDER Ruck Training Program. PATHERFINDER is one of THE most popular ruck training programs out there and one we’ve registered for (and paid for) multiple times. We are so happy to be able to have Lyell here for episode number two because he is doing some awesome things with PATHFINDER and we love supporting him.
Throughout the podcast Lyell discusses his first GORUCK event (dubbed SNOWRUCK) and dives into the interstices of the PATHFINDER program. After listening to this podcast you’ll know exactly what you get when you register for a PATHFINDER Ruck Training program and how you can get the absolute most out of it. In addition you’ll learn more about the guy behind the program and why he loves it so much.
As we mentioned in the podcast we’ve got an awesome discount for you if you want to register for either the Forward or Endure PATHFINDER Ruck Training programs. Use the code 013ADR to get 20% off of your registration for class 013!
Want the opportunity to win a free entry into the upcoming event? Give the podcast a listen, follow the directions, and we’ll choose a winner on 7/13/2017!

DARN YOU! I was almost convinced that I was done with rucking events and serious ruck training for a while then I went and listened to your podcast with Lyell. Now I’m signed up for 013 and looking at a Veterans Day Tough in November. Aargh!
Great podcast. Keep them coming.
TAGG says
Another great episode :)
I’ve been thinking about Pathfinder for quite some time. I’ve been a little lax with my workouts (except the Charity Challenges, of course) and this would be a great way to get back into GRT shape (no doubt I’ll be signing up for another event soon).
Brian Lohr says
Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it and I think I’m finally getting the audio quality right :)
Another event you say… Constellation 24?
TAGG says
I missed your reply… in fact, yes, I did end up signing up for Constellation 24 :D
Brian Lohr says
Might have to ask you on for an episode once you finish that up :O
TAGG says
We’ll see if I’m allowed to ;)

I am a beginner at rucking and did my first Light last month with the help of Pathfinder Forward 012. Training now for a Zombie Light in October.
Brian Lohr says
Awesome! I haven’t had the opportunity to partake in a Zombie event yet but would love to see how they make those special :) Good luck out there in October!
Vinton Storm says
I am training to ruck two 50K ultramarathons in October: Feral Hog 50K in Ohio and the Doggone Tired Ultra Trail Race 50K in Iowa. I would be very interested to see how the pathfinder program fits enhances my readiness for these events.
Brian Lohr says
That’s awesome and incredibly impressive! I’ve fun a couple marathons but it would be exciting to run a 50k sometime!
Victor Barczyk says
I have completed a hand full of toughs but need to step up my training to complete a heavy or maybe even an HTL. Keep up the good work with your podcasts.
Brian Lohr says
Thank you so much Victor and congrats on winning the free entry! Truly appreciate the feedback and support!
Brian says
Love the podcast and looking forward to 013. Using pathfinder mostly for life/enjoyment/fitness, but will look for events in Vegas.
Brian Lohr says
Thanks so much for the feedback Brian! If you haven’t checked out the new podcasts (episodes 003 and 004) there’s additional contests for free entries in those.
From what I hear there’s a pretty decent group of GRTs over in Vegas so you should be in good company! Thanks again!
