I always love stories of parents getting out there rucking and spending time with their kids. After talking with Yori about the GORUCK Monthly Rucking Challenges he has been completing with his 10 and 8 year old sons I knew he had to be on the show.. In this episode we discuss how to get kids involved in rucking and ways to make it more fun and enjoyable for them!
Many of these techniques can be used on friends who aren’t rucking as well! Most involve ways to decrease the barriers to entry, put more of the planning on your shoulders, and making rucking more fun. Obviously with friends you won’t be holding their hands the whole way BUT being a huge asset for their first few rucks can make the experience that much better.

I love hearing about how PATHFINDER’s companion programs are making a difference for parents and kids in ways like this.
The PATHFINDER TRAILBLAZER program is so good as it’s suitable for children old enough to walk all the way up to 17 years old. It’s super flexible and is easily molded to any child’s abilities and parents’ goals for them.
Thanks so much, Yori, for all the good words you give for us, and as always thanks, Brian, for your unwavering support of PATHFINDER.
