Shortly after the State of GORUCK 2019 was posted a number of updates were made to the GORUCK online store.
All of the current rucks now have a “USA MADE” banner in the top left corner of the image. In addition most rucks have a “- USA” after their name designating that they’re made in the USA. If you’re wondering why this is important because all GORUCK gear is made in the USA then you might have missed their State of GORUCK 2019. Here’s a summary if you don’t have time to read the 9,000 words that Jason wrote.
Yesterday GORUCK announced that they will be moving some of their manufacturing overseas to Saigon. They will still keep sewing gear in the USA but will give customers the option between a less expensive GR1 built in Saigon and the regular priced GR1 built in the USA.
To kick off the new look in the store GORUCK has discounted nearly all of their packs. I was definitely surprised to see the huge sale but it was absolutely a welcome surprise. I wasn’t expecting another sale for some time and who’s going to argue about a deal? Will you be taking advantage of this sale and buying a USA made pack before GORUCK moves production of some of the more standard colors overseas? I’d love to hear in the comments!
I bit the bullet and sold my favorite OG gr2 40l in sand and bought a gr2 40l and a gr2 34l and with the student discount it was almost like buy one get one free!
Great deal! Amazing how the student discount stacks with the already decent sale price. What are your plans for the packs?
I was planning on using both and seeing which one works out better then maybe sell the other but who knows you can never have too many rucks 😁
