This has been quite the week so far for GORUCK. Since Monday they’ve released the HCL event, set up the buy one get one deal for Good Livin’ events, and now they’ve released some brand new gear. This update, by the way, would not have happened if it weren’t for Joe from TRVLSQD. You may know Joe from the awesome designs and shirts he’s made for TRVLSQD in the past including our Heavy 009 shirt which is a thing of beauty.
In addition to the new equipment Matt let me know that there are price drops on some of GORUCK’s gear. Thanks for the heads up on that!
@AllDayRuckoff don't forget that the gym bags and shadow rucks are now cheaper.

Like always if you notice something in their store that’s new which I forgot to include please let me know and I’ll get it added to the list.
120 lb Sandbags
That’s right… you read the title correctly. A 120 lb sandbag. The first thing I thought of was 120 lb sandbag get ups and how my body would hate me for the rest of my life. Joe let me know that his would probably make for an incredible team weight and I think he’s right. I mean, think of all the stuff you could fit in a sandbag this big! We didn’t talk about this but I’m imagining the first team weight of over 100 beers right here… just throwing it out there.
120 lb Patch
If you’re going to buy a 120 lb sandbag and fill it with 120 lbs of stuff then you better let everyone know. How though… you may ask. Well, with this 120 lb patch everyone close to you will know your bag is probably literally filled to the brim with sand and/or cement.
Stanley 8 oz Flask
So some awesome person shows up to your GORUCK Light event with the above mentioned GORUCK 120 lb sandbag filled to the brim. Great. How are you going to make it through this? If you can’t answer that question then let me do it for you… with this Stanley Flask. I’ve never used one of these but I’ve used a flask before and it was awesome. This flask looks rugged and like it would survive a GORUCK event and anything that promotes drinking and exercising is ok in my book.
McNett Zipper Care
Some of you know that I currently use bow line wax to make my zippers run smoother. Now I’ve never used this McNett product before but I’m sure going to give it a try. Anyone who has taken their ruck through a mud run (or 5) will know that this can seriously mess up their zippers. I’ve run rucks through the wash numerous times and the zippers can still be bad. I’m very excited to see if this will make my zippers run better than my current bow line wax.
I Spearhead New York Shirts
GORUCK is continuing their I Spearhead New York theme with this shirt which was just released. Their last gear release featured an I Spearhead new York patch and it only makes sense that they’d have a patch to match. Like I said in the last post for the patch release the day I ruck in New York is probably going to be the day I buy one of the patches or a shirt.
Always Look Cool Woman’s Shirt
You read the title right here… this is the first woman’s tee that GORUCK has officially released. I’d imagine this is pretty cool for all of the ladies out there. This shirt comes in Light Gray, Dark Gray, and Pink and appears to be that super soft American Apparel fabric.
Ibex GORUCK Meru Beanie
I’ll be the first to say that I know next to nothing about beanies. I don’t wear hats much and when I do it’s the Tac Hat. Because of that I’ll just copy what GORUCK wrote down on their website because that information is better than anything I could make up. “The form-fitting Ibex beanie is our pick for cold weather rucking. It’s performance warm and thin: when it gets wet, it dries quickly, but doesn’t overheat. Materials are mostly Merino wool with a bit of woven Nylon and LYCRA®. If you’re doing a cold-weather GORUCK Event where you might – and by might, we mean will – get wet, this is the hat you want.” All of that is from the GORUCK website and I’ve (again) never used this hat so don’t take it as a recommendation.
GORUCK Gift Cards
Just in time for the holiday season GORUCK has released gift cards. I’m pretty sure these make for the absolute best white elephant gifts ever for two reasons. One, whoever gets it probably has no idea about GOURCK (so one more person is now aware) and two because the look on their face when they realize what you gave them a gift card to would be priceless.
Price Drops
In addition to releasing some new gear GORUCK has reduced the price on a number of their previous offerings.
Bullet 10 Ruck
The Bullet Ruck has been renamed to the Bullet 10 (maybe a larger one will be released in future?) and the price has dropped from $195 to $175.
Gym Bags
The 20L gym bag has dropped from $95 to $75 and the 38L gym bag has dropped from $115 to $95.
Shadow Rucks
The discount on the Shadow rucks is huge! The SD15 dropped from $95 to $60, the SD20 dropped from $110 to $65, and the SD25 dropped from $125 to $70.
Terry Peay says
Class 082 carried more than 100 beers in a large pelican case, with ice…..eer, I mean spent nuclear rods.
Brian says
Now that is impressive! The best part about those as a team weight is they eventually turn into nothing.
Mike says
Ordered a Shoulder Bag 20L and Bullet 15 to replace my 10L which I am selling. Also picked up some tee shirts and a Tac Hat. I think I can now enter a contest for the most Goruck gear, if there was such a thing.
Brian says
Maybe that will be the next contest… submit a pic of the most GORUCK gear you can… one winner for quantity and one winner for most money spent ;)

thoughts:
1. Now a lady with a sense of humor can wear a patch on her tac hat with approximate body weight. Though I guess the super-travel sized lass could’ve used a 100 lb. patch already. When do I get a 250 lb. patch?
2. Where’s my I (Spearhead) TX shirt?
3. If you sign up for an event, the discount code drops the SD15 to just $48, the SD20 to $52, and the SD25 to $56. That’s hard to beat!!
Brian says
That’s perfect! My wife probably wouldn’t find it amusing if I bought her a 120 lb patch for her GR1 but we’ll see. And good call on the event codes… $48 – $56 for a Shadow ruck seems like such a deal. May have to finally pick one up!
