GORUCK is back with another Monthly Rucking Challenge! The previous three challenges have all been based on rucking miles… this is focuses on ruck PT.
The challenge is to complete 7 Ruck PT workouts during the month of April. You are on the honor system to do the workouts and the patch you’ll earn is FREE. That’s right… free patch for getting the work in!
The amount of weight in the ruck is your choice. Choose something that will allow you to push yourself but won’t cause an injury.
If you’re a fan of the patch design then lucky you the Lucky Number 7 design is available as a shirt! Shirts are available to pre-order now and patches will be unlocked on April 7th. The Pre-Order ends 4/30/2019 which means everything will probably ship mid-May.
Here are the seven workouts needed to complete the Lucky Number 7 challenge. Although they have day numbers associated with them you just need to get them all completed during the month of April.

I just finished my ‘Lucky Number 7’ this past weekend. I really enjoyed(/hated) this challenge! It was a good way to get people doing ruck WODs, which are not only great training for Welcome Parties and other aspects of GORUCK Challenge events, but they are great fitness activities in general. Looking forward to the next one!

I just finished up Day 5 last night. I’ve been doing it with 50 lbs which has been rough… I like the workouts though so might run back through it next month but with 20 lbs or 30 lbs. After 3 months of challenges that were mostly about miles it’s fun to see one with some ruck workouts. Hopefully this eased some people into ruck workouts :)

I did all of my Lucky 7 WODs with 40 or 45# and those were hard enough—50# would have been a crusher. I also counted the Lucky 7 WODs toward Pathfinder Ruck WODs. :)

Typo in the paragraph immediately after the 7 day workout image: “…need to get them all completed during the month of March.” I believe that should say “April”, since this was posted April 1st.
