This patch is a throwback and I’m fairly certain is no longer available for sale.
The Firegod patch was one of the first few offered on the GORUCK SkyMall. It was made back when you could count the number of GORUCK Cadre on one hand and GORUCK was a much, much smaller company. All of the new patches being released are so flashy but with this one you can almost see the age in the patch. Some fire, a slogan, and that’s it… there’s definitely beauty in simplicity.
This patch has special meaning to me because Cadre Brian was the Cadre for my first GORUCK Challenge: 053 in Seattle. Back then we were all terrified when we showed up to the Challenge. Rucks were handed out and 220+ pound 6’3″+ tall people received Echos while 130 pounders ended up with GR2s. It was a riot. One person could not physically fit all of their weight in the pack with their water so someone had to carry their water for them. That’s teamwork right there if I’ve ever seen it.
My favorite part of the Cadre line of patches is not that they remind me of the individual but of what they made me realize about myself. Because of this I always try and pick up a Cadre patch for each one I have at an event. Plus… with the proceeds going towards charity it’s hard not to help out.
At one time these were available on the GORUCK SkyMall for $10. If you’re looking for one your best bet is to check out GORUCK SkyMall, GORUCK Trading, or evilBay.

Actually this patch pre-dates SkyMall. All the patch sales back then were done on the Tough group itself. Real old school…

They were weren’t they! It’s been almost 5 years since all that was happening so it’s tough to remember. Time flies man…
