This is a long post so please bear with us and read the whole thing. It would mean a lot to us.
As many of you know a huge portion of our sales goes towards helping others. In many cases 100% of the proceeds of sales go directly to charity. In other cases money is used to cover the less glamorous things such as packing materials, hosting fees, and purchasing more inventory. A couple weeks ago we were able to make a $1,000 donation to the Green Beret Foundation and we’re proud to say we have another large donation on the way.
Recently, TRVLSQD has rallied behind a family in 1st Group in an attempt to raise money for the family’s son. The son, Arden, has MLT (aka Multifocal Lymphangioendotheliomatosis with Thrombocytopenia) which is very rare… 48 cases internationally rare. With no known cause and tons of visits to the hospital you know this family has been through Hell. TRVLSQD wants to make that Hell slightly less Hellish and we want to help too.
All proceeds from the MLCH (Meathead/Light/Challenge/Heavy) coming up in November will be headed straight to this family. We’ve already sent $100 over but that’s not nearly enough. Our goal is to raise at least $750 for this family (through the Range Day 1st Group Fund) within the next few weeks. To achieve this goal we’ll be donating a major portion of all sales to this cause. If you don’t want to make a purchase but would like to donate you can use the “contact us” box to get more information.
In addition, TRVLSQD is currently throwing a raffle with the proceeds going towards the family. All of the info is in the picture below but the winner of the raffle gets a trip to the Pacific Northwest (airfare and hotel), a GR1, entry into the MLCH event, and some other nice prizes. Tickets are $50 (or 3 for $100) and there are some sweet 1st and 2nd runner up prizes as well.
Thank you all very much for your continued support and please know that your purchases always help a greater, more noble, cause.
More information about all of this can be found on the TRVLSQD website.
