MLCH is (kind of) the newest GORUCK event. First it was the HCL, then it was HCLS, and now it’s the MLCH. What’s the MLCH? It’s a reverse HCL (Light -> Challenge -> Heavy) with the Meat Head challenge stacked on the front. Want a better description of this event? Check out the except from the GORUCK site.
This Heavy is part of GORUCK’s MLCH fundraising event. Sign up for this Heavy and you will automatically be registered for the Challenge, Light, and Meathead (weightlifting) portion of this event. The only catch, the Heavy is last, making this the first ever reverse HCL with a Meathead appetizer. You willy begin this series with the Meathead on November 21st, 2014 at 8am. Directly following the Meathead will be the Light starting on November 21st, 2014 at 10:30am. Following the Light, on November 21st, 2014 at 7pm, the Challenge will start. After the Challenge, the 24+ hour Heavy will start. The Heavy will begin at 1pm on November 22nd, 2014.
Woman will have the opportunity to test out for the 500lb and 750lb Meathead patch. Men will have the opportunity to test out for the 1,000lb and 1,200lb Meathead patch. The Meathead weightlifting patch you earn is determined by your total 1 rep max bench press, deadlift, and squat weight. For example; if a man bench pressed 350lbs, deadlifted 350lbs, and squated 350lbs he would be eligiible for the 1,000lb patch because his gross total equaled 1,050lbs.
The thing you’re probably wondering now is when will the first MLCH take place? The answer to that is on November 22, 2014 in Joint Base Lewis, McCord, WA. The entry to the event starts at $350 and gets you in to each of the four events. Sign up sooner to ensure you get the cheapest price available… and remember… you only have 3 months to train.
