Todd Forkner (of Gear N8tion) has released his newest item dubbed the HK Quick Clip. The HK Quick Clip attaches to any webbing through a YKK Tri-Glide and gives you an extra attachment point. The YKK Tri-Glide has an average break strength at 156lbs so short of using it to support your body weight they’re not going to break on you. It’s nice when things are over-engineered because then you KNOW they’ll be able to handle what you throw at them.
What would you do with the HK Quick Clip you might be asking. For the few days I’ve had mine I’ve been using it to hold my keys and some other stray things. Some items just don’t fit well in that top pocket on the GR packs and the HK Quick Clip is a great place to keep them. In my work GR1 I have a Triple Aught Design OP1 pouch (as seen in the pics) in the inside webbing which takes up four of the six columns. It’s a pretty decent item and I keep some extra patches and ADR gear in mine. The HK Quick Clip only takes up one space so it fits perfectly in a pack even if you have an average sized admin pouch or Field Pocket inside.
Want to pick up an HK Quick Clip for yourself? They’re currently available in the ADR Store for the price of $9.99. If you pick one up or have something similar don’t forget to leave a comment or review letting us know what you attach to your clip.
