GORUCK has gone absolutely apeshit today releasing a plethora of gear that hardly anyone saw coming. The GR0 is very similar to the GR1 and sports the same 3 rows of webbing. It’s modeled as the GR1 for short people (only 5 liters smaller) and is recommended for those who want a GR1 but are under 6 feet tall.
They’ve put a good deal of pictures on their site comparing the two rucks which I’ve included here. As much as I’d love a GR0 I don’t think I’ll be picking one up as I’m a good 6’2″ tall and don’t need a ruck smaller than a GR1. However, if my wife ever mentions wanting a GORUCK bag I’ll probably go straight to this bag for her since she’s very short. The GR0 comes in Black, Multicam, and Coyote and each look amazing… although I’m a little partial to the Coyote.
Check this new ruck out in GORUCK’s online store. The sticker price is $265 but if you sign up for an event and purchase it then you’ll probably get 20% off.

I just received my GR0 and the front slant pocket is not double layered. Should it be? I have a bullet ruck that is double layered so that is why I’m asking. Emailed goruck and surprising didn’t receive a response.
I’ll check mine as soon as I can and see if they are or aren’t. I’m guessing GORUCK is a little busy right now taking care of the event transfer change that ended today and the new Christmas in July sale. Either way hopefully they get back to you soon and I’ll try and check mine by tonight.
My GR1 from 2011 is double layered, my GR0 from 11/2014 is single layered, and my GR2 from 7/2015 is single layered. Have you heard back from GORUCK yet? I’d be interested in hearing what they have to say.
How would the GR0 be as a day/EDC bag? Whatever bag I have I fill and while I love my GR1, when I fill it, it’s heavy and I’m toting more than what I need for a day of errands or taking the kids to the park. Hoping the GR0 might fit the bill. Any feedback appreciated
hie there,
i would like to know if u willing to sell ur GR0?
i am looking for 1. :)
do kindly let me know.
thanks
GORUCK actually decreased the price for all of their colored versions so you can find them on their website for pretty cheap right now. Hope that helps!
I knw that but the problem is black colour don’t have sales.
That’s correct… they stopped offering the discount a few days ago.
black have discount? i checked for few days when they start the sales…didn’t notice all black colour is on sales.
:)
and possible to get the black GR0 from u? ahahahaha :)
Before they did the Steals & Deals the Black were available for 20% off. Now that the Steals and Deals section is there they have removed the 20% discount on black gear.
I don’t have a black GR0 for sale unfortunately but you can always check eBay… there’s usually a few packs on there at a time. Good luck!
Nice; the RR was way too boxy imo. I’m short (5’4″) but will probably stick with my GR1. I use it primarily for one-bag travel and can’t see going any smaller. It really doesn’t feel all that big to me.
