The GORUCK holiday bundles (from their weekly holiday drop announcement) are here! They’ve got sandbag bundles, ruck plate bundles, and even a bundle with the new Rucker 3.0.
Everything Sold Out?
If you’re poking around the GORUCK Black Friday page it might appear that all of the bundles are sold out. I mean… they say “SOLD OUT” right on them.
Don’t worry though… at least right now if you click on any of them you’re able to add the gear to your cart and get the discount.
For example if you click the “Rucker Starter Kit” bundle you’re prompted to select your Rucker 3.0 and Ruck Plate. Then you can add it to your cart and see the discount there.
There it is! Discount matches… $233.75 on the bundle page and $233.75 in the cart. Even though everything appears to be sold out it looks like it truly isn’t.
The Bundles
When it comes to the bundles there’s sandbag bundles, ruck plate bundles, and new RPC and Rucker 3.0 bundles. For what it’s worth here’s the pricing breakdowns and my thoughts on some of the bundles.

Sandbag Starter Kit Bundle
The sandbag starter kit bundle features a 20 lb and 40 lb sandbag (with filler bags) for $179. It’s a good deal IF you want the 20 lb sandbag. I, personally, own the 20 lb sandbag and haven’t used it in years. My wife uses it sometimes but it just doesn’t cut it for me. I love the 40 lb and 60 lb sandbags. If you want the 20 lb and 40 lb sandbags then this is solid.

Meat Eater Sandbag Bundle
The meat eater sandbag bundle is a 80 lb and 120 lb sandbag for $259. At a savings of only 3.3% this one doesn’t really feel worth it. The 120 lb sandbag can be awkward for most movements (outside deadlift or single/team carries) which makes this feel like the worst of the seven bundles.

Complete Sandbag Bundle
The complete sandbag bundle is every sandbag (20, 40, 60, 80, and 120 lb) that GORUCK makes for $529. I’d recommend this bundle if you have a ruck club or a group of friends that gets together to workout. Otherwise it’s a lot of sandbags for one person. You can easily make a 60 lb sandbag work as a 40 lb and mess around with the filler bags to achieve the range without buying every single bag.

Ruck Plate Bundle
If you somehow have a Rucker or a RPC but don’t have a Ruck Plate then the Ruck Plate Bundle is a great deal at nearly 20% off. If you don’t have anything from GORUCK then I’d recommend looking at the Rucker 3.0 bundle instead of this.

Garage Gym Starter Kit Bundle
In this Garage Gym Starter Kit Bundle you get two ruck plates, three sandbags, and the new Ruck Plate Carrier for $509. Although you’re saving just over 22% you really need to want every piece here for it to be worth it.

Rucker Starter Kit Bundle
In my opinion the Rucker Starter Kit Bundle is the best deal of the current bundles. You get the new Rucker 3.0 and a Ruck Plate for 15% off. The Rucker 3.0 is incredibly new and I don’t expect to see it on sale alone anytime soon. One nice thing about this bundle is that you get to choose the Rucker 3.0 AND the Ruck Plate weight.
Ruck Plate Carrier Starter Kit Bundle
If you’re a fan of the Ruck Plate Carrier then the Ruck Plate Carrier Starter Kit Bundle is a great deal. The RPC V2 (like the Rucker 3.0) is still incredibly new and I don’t expect it to be discounted soon. Getting 15% off by coupling it with a Ruck Plate (which you need to use it) seems like a great offer. One nice thing about this bundle is that you get to choose the Ruck Plate Carrier size and the Ruck Plate weight.
Final Thoughts
In my opinion the best bundle here is the Rucker 3.0 + Ruck Plate for 15% off. That pack is brand new, awesome, and you should have a ruck plate to really take advantage of it. If you already have a Rucker but are looking for Ruck Plates and Sandbags then the Garage Gym Starter Kit is solid. You basically end up buying three sandbags, two ruck plates, and getting the RPC for free. It’s still more money than I’d want to spend on something but if you’ve got it burning a hole in your pocket then it’s a good setup.
