GORUCK has just released a 3 pack of 10lb Ruck Sandbags for $95. They’re branded Ruck Sandbags because they’re meant to be carried in your ruck. These do look very, very similar to the filler bags that GORUCK is currently selling just with the addition of a patch area and a different shape. GORUCK’s cleaning instructions for them actually reference them as filler bags.
Turn inside out and spray down with a hose and soapy water. This removes sand and debris from the stitching and increases the longevity of your Filler Bags. We designed them to pair with GORUCK Rucksacks but they’ll also thrive alone in harsh environments.
GORUCK
My hunch is these were released in part due to the third individual event at the 2019 CrossFit Games.
The third individual event of the CrossFit Games was an increasing weight ruck run. Individuals started off completing a 1,500 meter run with a 20 lb ruck. Once completed they added a 10 lb sandbag and re-ran the course. When that was done they added another 10 lb sandbag then ran then added another 10 lb sandbag then ran then finished.
- Run 1500m with 20 lb (Ruck + 20 lb Ruck Plate)
- Run 1500m with 30 lb (Ruck + 20 lb Ruck Plate + 1 x 10 lb Ruck Sandbag)
- Run 1500m with 40 lb (Ruck + 20 lb Ruck Plate + 2 x 10 lb Ruck Sandbag)
- Run 1500m with 50 lb (Ruck + 20 lb Ruck Plate + 3 x 10 lb Ruck Sandbag)
It was a brutal workout and not something I’d recommend doing unless your knees (and lower back) are ready for it.
During the CrossFit games the sandbags used has the Rogue logo on them… you can see one of them in the above picture and in this video.
GORUCK’s version has the GORUCK logo embroidered into them in addition to a 3″ x 2″ patch area.
They’re made in the USA (for the time being) and come with the SCARS Lifetime Guarantee.
If you want to own these Ruck Sandbags you can pick up them from GORUCK’s online store for $95. If you have any thoughts on the new product (love them, hate them, think they’re too expensive, etc.) I’d love to hear them in the comments!

Rogue Fitness is selling the used brick bags from the events for $25 each used or $40 new for one or $75 new for a pair. They even show a picture of them being loaded in a Rucker. Comparing the two then GORUCK 10lb bags seemed priced similarly (but you get three).
From Rogue Fitness website.
“The Rogue Brick Bag is a loadable, miniature sandbag that enables a wide array of custom applications in a simple, portable format.
Constructed from a durable 1000D Cordura fabric, each 10.5” long Brick Bag has a load capacity up to approx. 10 LBS, depending on the filler used.* The design includes a convenient Velcro closure that’s rolled down and secured using a 2” nylon webbing strap. This strap, in turn, can be used as a grip-friendly carry handle.”

Awesome find and thank you for sharing!
It’s interesting that Rogue is calling them the “Brick Bag” when GORUCK sold a “Brick Bag” that was very different. If I were in the market for something to serve this need I’d probably go with the 20 lb filler bags from GORUCK and load them up with 10 lbs of sand. They’re $20 each (with free USA shipping) and, in some ways, a little more versatile since you can fit 20 lbs in them. You could even fill one with 10 lbs and the other with 20 lbs and for $40 you’d be able to make 10/20/30 combos. I do like the closure on the Rogue ones though!

Can confirm. I bought 3 of the rogue brick bags at the Crossfit games from the rogue resell desk. Filled for 25/each. They also had bags loaded to 7 lbs and painted with a 7.
