GORUCK released an email with a roadmap showing what new gear and sales they’ll be releasing this holiday season. Based on previous gear releases and bundles here’s what you can (probably) expect from these gear drops and sales.
The Timeline
Here’s the image that GORUCK sent out:
Here’s the text version of that timeline:
- 11/11/2020: Chad1000x Hero Workout & Black Friday Holiday Sales Start
- 11/13/2020: Packing Cubes, Shadow Pockets, 10 lb Ruck Sandbag, Men’s Training Half Zip, Performance TAC Hat, New Face Masks
- 11/20/2020: New Gear Friday – “Stocking Stuffers”
- 11/23/2020: Black Friday Week Bundles
- 11/30/2020: Cyber Monday Events Sale
- 11/31/2020: Giving Tuesday benefitting Travis Manion Foundation
- 12/4/2020: New I/O Cross Trainer colors & Java MACV-1 boots
It’s worth noting that 11/31/2020 is probably actually 12/1/2020… unless 2020 is giving us a bonus day in November.
The Sales
With all that information out here’s what I think we can all expect from this series of sales and gear releases.
11/11/2020: Chad1000x Hero Workout & Black Friday Holiday Sales Start
Since 11/11/2020 is in the past this is an easy one. The Chad 1000X workout was on Veterans day and GORUCK’s Black Friday sales start as well.

11/13/2020: Packing Cubes, Shadow Pockets, 10 lb Ruck Sandbag, Men’s Training Half Zip, Performance TAC Hat, New Face Masks
On 11/13/2020 we’ll have Packing Cubes, Shadow Pockets, 10 lb Ruck Sandbags, Men’s Training Half Zip, Performance Tac Hats, and new face masks.
Packing cubes have been a staple at GORUCK in the past and shouldn’t be new to too many people. Hopefully both sizes come back in stock!
Shadow pockets haven’t been around for ages… probably since 2013 or so. They’re just like the Field Pockets just with less structure… kind of like a smaller packing cube.
The 10 lb Ruck Sandbags have previously been released so my guess is it’s just a restock of those.
Here’s a picture of the Men’s Performance Half Zip. GORUCK will be releasing a Training Half Zip which is probably a similar design just using GORUCK’s Training fabric.
The Performance Tac Hat is another product that has been previously released. Not sure if there will be any changes on it or not but you can probably expect something similar to previous releases.
11/20/2020: New Gear Friday – “Stocking Stuffers”
GORUCK has released “stocking stuffer” type gear in previous years so I’m guessing this will be similar. I’d expect more patches, maybe some Yeti gear, and probably some more coasters.
Here’s the full post on this release!
11/23/2020: Black Friday Week Bundles
The Black Friday Week Bundles sale starts at the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday week. In the past GORUCK has used their bundle sales to put pack bonuses with gear that they don’t want to discount.
For example at one time GORUCK said the GR1 in Black would never be on sale. When Black Friday came around instead of putting it on sale they just packed a lot of accessories with it. Looking at recent gear releases I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw some Rucker V3 bundles. My guess is GORUCK doesn’t want to decrease the price on that new gear so they’ll offer some free accessories with it.
11/30/2020: Cyber Monday Events Sale
Historically Cyber Monday has been the big day for event sales. We’ve seen anywhere from 25% – 50% off events… with COVID-19 this year I can’t even guess what the sale will be. I could see GORUCK going with something like Buy One Get One (for a friend) like they’ve done in the past. I’m guessing they’re going to be wanting to get more people out to events in 2021.
11/31/2020: Giving Tuesday benefitting Travis Manion Foundation
Historically the day after Cyber Monday has been GORUCK’s Giving Tuesday event sale. In the past the sale has been very similar to the Cyber Monday sale just with the proceeds of event sales going to a non-profit. Now that all proceeds from GORUCK Events go to non-profits
12/4/2020: New I/O Cross Trainer colors & Java MACV-1 boots
Not sure what the new I/O Cross Trainer colors will be but it’s reassuring to see GORUCK continue to release colors and versions of this shoe. There was some speculation as to whether the new Ballistic Trainers would replace the I/O Cross Trainers and it appears that answer is no.
GORUCK recently released the MACV-1 boots in the Origins colorway and I’m excited to see how the Java shoes turn out. Above is a picture of GORUCK’s GR1 in Java so it will be interesting to see how that scheme applies to the boots.
Overall Thoughts
The 2020 year has been something else so I’m excited to have weekly GORUCK sales and releases to look forward to. It’s great to see some old gear (like the 2013 Shadow Pockets) making a comeback and it will be interesting to see if there’s any changes made to them. Is there some part of this sale you’re excited for in particular? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
