The ‘Bataan Memorial’ Workout

*All movements are scalable – decrease the weight, number of rounds or simply take your ruck off as needed.

Ruck Weight: 20# / 30# (or whatever you’re comfortable with)
Sandbag Weight: 60# / 80# (or whatever you’re comfortable with)

The Significance

Here is the significance of the workout according to the April GORUCK Tribe email: 9 rounds of 8 different movements in honor of the 8 days of the forced, torturous march that tens of thousands of American and Filipino prisoners of war made during WWII beginning on April 9.

The Bataan Death March was the forcible transfer of 60,000–80,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war from April 9-17, 1942. This Bataan Memorial workout is designed to honor these POWs and consists of 9 rounds of 8 different movements.
