Team Assessment 2019 (Class 000) just wrapped up last weekend and GORUCK is already looking ahead to the next one. In a recent post GORUCK mentioned some changes that will be made for Team Assessment 2020 and beyond.
First off Team Assessment will be back in 2020 and will be held in Ohio. This seems like the perfect location for this event because there’s just so much space available to GORUCK. Plus, apparently Ohio is God’s Country so it has that going for it as well.
Starting in 2020 there will be two divisions at Team Assessment: Men’s and Women’s. Although they’re called Men’s and Women’s divisions they’re not exactly exclusive. Men can register for the men’s division and women can register for either the women’s or men’s division.
What’s the difference between the two divisions? The men’s division has a dry rucksack weight requirement of 45 lbs and the women’s division has a dry rucksack weight requirement of 20 lbs.
In addition the PT test for Team Assessment is changing. The only thing that has been announced so far is that the run requirement (5 miles in 40 minutes) is being removed. Unfortunately for me that’s the only part I’m good at 😂
