Travis Manion Foundation 2019 Manion WOD

Travis Manion Foundation is teaming up with GORUCK for the 2019 Manion WOD. Ruck clubs across the country are partnering with Travis Manion Foundation to host these workouts. If you aren’t close to any of the ruck clubs then don’t worry you can still register as an individual!

The price of admission is $35 and includes both a Manion WOD shirt and a patch. If you register by March 4th then you will receive your gear before the event. If you register after March 4th then you’ll most likely receive it afterwards however you’ll still receive it.

This is a fundraiser for the Travis Manion Foundation so you should be happy to know that your money is going to them. The WOD is to be completed on either April 27th, 2019 or April 28th, 2019.

This isn’t the first time GORUCK and Travis Manion Foundation have partnered up. If you’re curious about their previous events you should check out our interviews with them in podcast episode 059 and episode 070!

Want to Involve Your Ruck Club?

The Manion WOD Variations

There are two variations of the Manion WOD. The traditional WOD and the slightly modified version for ruck clubs.

The Manion WOD

The Manion WOD is as follows.

The 135/95 back squats are traditionally done with a barbell and weights.

The Manion WOD (Ruck Club Variation)

The Manion WOD is slightly different for ruck clubs to incorporate rucking and typical ruck club weights and coupons.

The back squats can be completed with ruck, sandbag, barbell, or anything else you can find. It’s ruckers’ choice on that one!

Planning to Register?

Let us know in the comments if you’re planning to register! We would love to hear if you are then if it’s an individual registration or what ruck club you’ll be doing this with. It seems like a great event with some awesome gear for registering so why not?
