GORUCK has been teasing the idea of an updated Rucker for some time now. It wasn’t until January, 2018 when we started seeing the Ruckers selling out on the website with no restock in sight.
For at least a week users to the website were treated with the above image and there were a number of threads asking of the Rucker had been discontinued. Thankfully the Rucker is alive and well, back with a few upgrades.
To start we’ve got a new elevated internal ruck plate sleeve which should help get that weight off of your lower back. In the passed we’ve talked about cutting up yoga blocks for that but this will hopefully solve that issue entirely.
The bladder holder will now a D ring that you can slip a carabiner through. The D ring in the new Rucker looks very similar to the one located in the GORUCK GR3.
The new internal plate sleeve appears to feature a 3″ x 2″ Velcro loop on it so you can bring another favorite patch along for the ride. What will the new GORUCK Rucker set you back?
The revised GORUCK Rucker comes in at $215 which is $20 more than the price of the previous Rucker. For $20 more you’re getting the elevated ruck plate pocket (plus D ring) which we are very excited to try out. Getting that weight off your lower back is critical to crushing long rucks and GORUCK events so we can’t wait to see how this plays out.
