GORUCK has released their long awaited sandbag today. They’ve put out four different sizes ranging from 20 pounds to 80 pounds, filler bags to put the sand in, and weight patches so you know how much is in their. The pricing is incredibly reasonable when it comes to high quality sandbags and make sure to sign up for a Challenge to get 20% off as well.
Sandbag
GORUCK sells sandbags in 20lb, 40lb, 60lb, and 80lb increments. In addition each one comes in either black, multicam, or coyote coloring. I’ll personally be picking up one of the 40lb coyote sandbags in the future for training.
Filler Bags
The filler bags are meant to keep a layer between your sand (or other weight) and your sandbag. This will prolong the life of your sandbag by keeping the zippers clean of sand. These can also be used in your ruck so that you don’t have to go through the hassle of creating your own training weight. It’s nice that they released so many sizes so that you can easily turn a 60lb sandbag into a 50lb sandbag if one muscle group isn’t ready for that heavy of a weight yet. They come in 10lb, 20lb, 30lb, and 40lb sizes.
Weight Patches
The weight patches are designed to go on the outside of the sandbags and let everyone know how much weight is in there. However, I’d personally love to see someone rock a 10lb patch through a GORUCK Challenge as I’m sure the Cadre would have a ball with it. GORUCK is currently selling these patches for the same price ($5) as the rest of their patches.
