GORUCK Light 067 Seattle Shirts

GORUCK Light 067 Shirt - B ack

We asked our TRVLSQD designer come up an awesome shirt design for our GORUCK Light 067 shirts and like always he did not fail. We’re so lucky to have a guy who loves doing this kind of stuff… even when he’s not signed up for the event. We went with the GORUCK Spearhead logo on the chest, TRVLSQD logo on the left sleeve, reverse flag on the right, and awesome Seattle skyline on the back. We went with a blue ink that closely matched the blue that GORUCK uses in their GORUCK Light logo.

Screen Printer

We used Gorilla Print Shop in downtown Seattle for our shirts. They produced great quality results on time which is pretty much all that can be asked for. I had to book it (aka run) about a mile and a half from my office to their place to pick up the shirts before they closed. The guys heard this and offered to give me a ride back! Too awesome, didn’t take them up on it though because I only had to walk three blocks to a bar.

Their communication was a bit slow but they’re in the middle of a serious remodel so I’m just chalking it up to that. We’ve had other TRVLSQD members use them in the past with great results.

Shirt Style

In true GORUCK fashion we went with the American Apparel Tri-Blend shirts. These are the same shirts that GORUCK uses and are some of the most comfortable shirts I’ve ever worn.

Design

Front

We put the GORUCK Spearhead on the front of the shirt with the GORUCK Light text. It’s located on the wearer’s left breast and really shines. I’m a big fan of clean looking shirts and the front of this definitely appeals to me.

Left Sleeve

The left sleeve features the TRVLSQD logo. This is easily the largest training group in the PNW dedicated to training for these events. Easily over half of the people signed up for this Light event are affiliated with TRVLSQD.

Right Sleeve

The right sleeve features the standard GORUCK reverse flag with the “Built in the USA” quote. These shirts are made in America and screen printed locally so this phrase couldn’t be more true.

Back

The back of the shirt is what really shines and brings it all together. This is the Seattle event so we have the iconic Seattle skyline with the phrase “Half the time, same good livin” on the bottom. This quote couldn’t be more accurate as it seems like the Light events are just slightly shorter GORUCK Challenges.

Overall

Overall everyone was thrilled with the shirts. Putting these together was a huge pain in the ass but it was well worth it in the end. I’d like to give a huge thanks to our designer for continuously putting in hours on this stuff… your work is much appreciated.
